Smooch & Blush is a family run business specialising in ladies garters, founded by Karen Mawby in October 2005.


Karen's story

"After being asked to be chief bridesmaid for 3 weddings and with the responsibility of buying that 'all important garter' for the brides-to-be, I was very disappointed and frustrated, not only with the lack of choice but also with the poor quality available on both the high street and the internet.

I want to offer garters which are different. It is important that the designs be unique and ooze quality in all respects so that the end result is a beautiful garter that not only serves for a day but which will become a treasured keepsake for the future".

Equipped with her HND in Clothing Design, an Honours Degree in Clothing Management & Technology and 13 years in the industry, Karen decided to put her knowledge to good use and Smooch & Blush was born!

Smooch & Blush garters are all carefully and lovingly hand crafted. Both beadwork and bows are all meticulously done by hand, ensuring individualised, high quality designs with a personal touch.

Where styling permits, genuine crystal beads and Swarovski diamantes are used on many of the styles to give them that extra special finish.
Garters are made to a standard size but custom made sizes are available upon request.

The 'garter pic' is becoming increasingly popular with newly wed couples (no wedding album should be without it!).However, garters are not just for weddings, they can be the perfect sexy lingerie complement, so why not surprise your wife or girlfriend with the perfect sensual and romantic gift.

Each garter comes beautifully wrapped and encased in a specially designed, high quality keepsake box (the type of box that has that nice 'clunky' sound when you put the lid on) making it the perfect presentation gift, that will last a lifetime.
